This is the diary of the struggle sustained, to the extreme limits of human possibilities, by exceptional people, during two successive attempts to round Cape Horn.
On the boat, the 14 meter ketch Tzu-Hang , in addition to Miles Smeeton, there is his wife Beryl – the ideal companion for certain adventures, always serene and with a smile on her lips even in the most dramatic moments – and his friend John Guzzwell, well-known solitary navigator (author of Trekka around the world , published by our Publishing House) as well as a very skilled carpenter capable of carrying out the most difficult makeshift repairs with extraordinary skill. Three extraordinary people, with very different characters but capable of great harmony.
With such a well-prepared crew and a boat so well-equipped, stowed with all sorts of goodies, leaving is not difficult... But when a terrible wave capsizes the Tzu-Hang reducing it to a wreck and forcing the crew to make superhuman efforts to reach a refuge in Chile, leaving again for the same journey - after a year spent repairing the boat - becomes an imperative, a challenge with themselves and with the sea.

We normally prepare orders for collection within 1 hour during store opening hours, but a confirmation email will still be sent when your order is ready for collection.

Delivery is made within 72 hours barring unforeseen circumstances.

Refund Policy
We have a 14 day returns policy, meaning you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

Damage and problems
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the problem and make it right.
Exceptions/non-returnable items
Some types of items cannot be returned, such as perishable products (such as food, flowers or plants), personalized products (such as special order or personalized items), and personal care products (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for gift cards.
Refunds
We will notify you as soon as we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund has been approved or not. If approved, you will automatically be refunded to your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and even ship your refund.
